Watch out with permethrin if you have cats. I've read many places that,
although permethrin is basically safe for most mammals, it is highly toxic to
cats.

Hi,
Permethrin, applied and allowed to dry, is reputedly non-toxic (same marigold
derived stuff sprayed on hiking gear to repel and kill ticks). Lots of going
through stuff, culling, dry cleaning and ziplock bagging. Vacuuming. Freezer
cold and high heat dryer settings. Closets vacuumed in

Hi -- we have a problem with indoor moths eating our carpets, among other
things. We had an exterminator over and they said we would need to remove
and professionally clean all our carpets for a house-wide treatment to be
effective, but that's gonna cost thousands of dollars (we have a lot of
*Heat Pumps 101*
Heat pumps are new to many of us and they can be hard to understand. But
they offer:
· Great savings on operating costs in many situations
· Cooling at no extra cost—no air conditioner needed
· Reduced greenhouse gas emissions, especially when powered
Doherty’s (259-8484) says they will pick up for $5 and $10 if they have the

If you toss them in the trash the town will get charged ~$50 so please don’t do
that!

Thank you to everyone who sent me their thoughts on buying a guitar— I am so
appreciative. I think I’ve narrowed down the options, and I’m getting ready to
make the purchase.
Fingers crossed my S.O. will be pleased

Hi,
Just an update on plant based Siggi's at Donelan's. There is a slight delay
on getting the Siggi's Plant Based yogurt in stock. They expect to have it
in sometime tomorrow/Tuesday.
If you go to Donelan's and see Siggi's today, or you saw it last week, that
is not the plant based version. The

I walk on Farrar Road a lot. Several years ago, the town installed
sloping asphalt shoulders to control erosion of the dirt shoulders and
to visually narrow the pavement to encourage lower speeds. The speeds
remained the same, but with the narrower pavement there was no longer
room for 2 cars

Yes, they are V-22 Osprey VTOL aircraft! I saw them in Bedford landing at Hanscom,

This is an example of a more general phenomenon. Bad drivers do things that
rule-makers disapprove of, but breaking the rules is not what makes them bad
drivers. For example, cell phone use while driving has been found to be an
effect rather than a cause.

You have made another argument to cease mowing and bush-whacking the
roadsides-pollinator protection.
Also, wildlife and birds would benefit.
So, save money, reduce speed, protect the birds and the bees…what’s not to like?

Have you heard about No-Mow May? Here’s an article from the NYT about it.
Newton is running a campaign too. Wouldn’t it be great if Lincoln did this as
well!

By trimming trees and brush along roadsides, and by mowing, we create the
visual appearance of a wider road.
My observations have been that traffic has sped up when that mowing is done.
Would we consider NOT doing that aggressive cutting, esp. with the machine that
works on the vertical?
