If you do decide to pull it out yourself you can wear a full wetsuit (like a surfer), latex or nitrile gloves under gardening gloves to protect yourself. Add a plastic face shield or safety goggles in case you accidentally rub your eyes. If you are very allergic like me, just don’t do it

I highly recommend Pesky Pete's Poison Ivy Control. He physically pulls out--roots and all--the poison ivy (wearing full protections) and hauls it away for disposal. Then, he'll return at no charge later if any reappears or just to do a scan for it. Unfortunately, he is usually scheduled
