I'm trying to create a simple rewrite conditional with Apache, and it
seems not working with a virtual host settings.
Here's an example WITHOUT virtual hosting:
Directory /home/hetz/www/domain
Allow from All
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-d
I had similar problem I think.
Try to remove the / before somewhere/inner.php
I know it seems strange but thats' the way it worked for me.

That caused Apache to give some error.
I found the solution:
RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/%2%{REQUEST_URI} !-f
RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/%2%{REQUEST_URI} !-d
RewriteRule (.*) %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}inner.php?page=$1 [L]
