[Ltsp-discuss] accessing a local usb drive

Hello all:  I am new to the whole ltsp thing.  I have successfully setup a ltsp server and tested it with a pxe-bootable workstation.  My goal is to have a pxe bootable terminal connect to a digital recorder, which when put into an I/O mode, will become a standard usb HD.

So I guess I need to configure my setup so that a terminal-local usb port will be active, detect when a usb hd is present, and perform some i/o operations on the attached HD.  I plan on using a java app. to then upload the files from the recorder to an nfs server.

can someone help me out here?  Point me to some documentation??
