I am using Mailplane for quite a while now, but from today I had to
hard shutdown my Mac several times because while using Mailplane the
UI started hanging. All programs were still up running but the UI
didn't update anymore. I could also move around my windows but got
this coloured circle

Yes, I agree. Being a Mac user, one key element I miss in MailPlane
-- and it is available in Sparrow -- is QuickView. I'd love for
MailPlane to have that added to its interface among other UI features
in Sparrow.
