Hello together,
how can I create an external link, which open itself in a new tab?
On the Help of Mediawiki (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Links) I don't see
the solution for my question.
Thanks for your help.

Every browser out there has some shortcut to open links in new windows
when the user wants to, a large majority of users severely dislike it

Hello together,
I've got a problem with thumbnails in my wiki. If I upload an image (png) the
thumbnails of that image can't be created. How can I change it and let the wiki
create thumbnails?
Thanks for your help.

Hello Nikola,
It's possible that your server isn't configured
to handle png files. It all depends on how GD graphics library is configured.

FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.2.1

I am not sure if you can see the content but in
my html enabled email program I couldn't. However if I press reply I can.

I understand the objections, but I would like to do this for only certain
external links. That is, some of our external links point to our forums or
website, which have the navigation as our wiki. But when it comes to the
external links that point to actual outside sites, I'd like to these to
Hi,
I am installing MediaWiki 1.16.0 on to this webserver –
http://www.tickbox.co.nz/info.php at http://www.tickbox.co.nz/w/.
When I click on “Set Up The Wiki” noting happens at all.
I have installed MediaWiki on a number of occasions and never had this problem.
What could I be doing wrong?
We are using MW 1.15 inside our corporate lan (only for internal users). We
would like to put some controls on some pages / or maybe even entire
categories. In particular, let's say that we have a category called Design
Policy. Now we would want to do is something like this:
