Hello Folks,
We are using Mediawiki 1.15 running on LAMP infrastructure on our
corporate LAN. We have some training material in audio/video format
(MP4) which we would like to integrate into wiki pages so that users
can watch/listen those files from the wiki pages. How should we go

I too would be interested in knowing if somehow we can get rid (hide)
'subst:' keyword. Most of the regular users get stumped when I tell them to
use subst:template-name after picking up a template from the drop down
list of FCKEditor.
Any way to make it more user friendly?
Platonides,
since FCKEditor could automagically prepend subst: to some templates.
That's great as I exactly want this same behaviour. Can you tell us
what modifications are to be made? Let's say I have templates named
Stardard and EvalForm and I want that any time a user selects
these templates
Thanks guys. I think that should do the trick!

Just out of curiosity can you point out which extensions are you talking

Hello Folks,
I am using MW 1.15.5. By default the following groups are present on my Wiki
(Special:ListGroupRights):
all, Users, Autoconfirmed users, Bots, Administrators, Bureaucrats
Now I would like to create a new group called managers and add few users

defining it.
Great! Thanks for the insight.

Why do you want to exclude redirects from Special:AllPages?
Partly because most of the user are getting confused if they see the old

Can't you restore the mediawiki database to the date just before the

were made during the period when the vandalization took place will get lost

Hi,
I want to disable the RecentChanges special page on my Mediawiki 1.16

methods:
1. Using Lockdown extension I added the following in my LocalSettings.php
require_once( $IP/extensions/Lockdown/Lockdown.php );
$wgSpecialPageLockdown['Recentchanges'] = array('sysop');
Thanks Benjamin! That did the trick.
