Greetings,
I'm looking for some assistance with installing a personal MediaWiki
configuration for a site that I want to set up. I've looked through almost all
of the predefined hosting services at
https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Hosting_services and have not been successful at

Hello,
I think so. I think you can customize your MediaWiki:Common.css page to include
different stylings for different namespaces. Don't quote me on that though -
but I think it's possible.

Hi,
Would you consider either https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:FlaggedRevs
and/or https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Moderation? Both of these
extensions might do what you want. If not, you'll have to be a little more
specific about what you're looking for.

Which MediaWiki version are you currently running, and what extensions/skins do

Hi,
Sorry, an official userright for this does not exist.
However, there is https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AuthorProtect that could

On Monday,
You could also set up an edit filter if you are using the AbuseFilter extension
to prevent edits to other user’s user pages. The English Wikipedia is currently
using an edit filter to prevent unregistered and non-autoconfirmed registered
users from editing any user page except their own:
everything via an on-wiki special page - however that
extension is defunct and doesn’t support the most recent versions of MediaWiki.

That’s nothing to do with the ReadOnly mode.
That error message is a bug with the overall login system, including WMF
