Yeah me too. The unblemished record for us is getting shakier, though.
The 85 wagon left my wife and kids on foot when the master brake cylinder
failed and applied the rear brakes continuously. That was unexpected. The
AC fuse melted through the fuse block when the nanny was running the AC
Interesting. The wrecking yard here has two more in stock so I will
probably just keep swapping until I get a good one. Thanks.
There is a guy here who claims to have the setup to do a rebuild also. They
are in Irvine or somewhere. He sold me the 500e rear subframe for my 87
wagon project.

The original differentials in the 85 wagon and the 88 560sel both started
to make progressively louder whirring sounds, so they were on their way
out. I replaced both. Wagon had about 211k on the clock and the 560 99k.
Not nearly the hundreds of thousands others seem to get.

The 2002 E320 hovercraft wagon is really screwed up now!!
We drove it around the block last night
It had been losing a quart of water in say a 50 mile trip
On the way home last night I was fooling around and stomped the accelerator
hard at about 10 mph and then made a hard left corner
The list used to get emails from RLE from the Great Beyond on occasion.

What I heard was pretty classic sounds of hydraulic valve lifters
collapsed, which likely would fit this instance, since the pan was off and
all the oil galleys would have had a chance to drain down completely.
Since the top end noise went away after a short drive, which would have

Interesting, isn't it, that the asking price is more than twice what the
car sold for new..
Also, noted, is the interior shot of speedo, with 55 in red, and top speed
at much lower limit.
"from the oil embargo era" hallmarks..

I have an older 5.1 hooked into my LR TV. It drives a pair of large Advents I
bought in 1974 or so (they were reconed once), some kind of center speaker, and
a pair of rear Boston Acoustic wall-mounted forward and rear firing back
channel speakers. I had a 12” sub at one point and it was
I've had one house with a surround setup, and to be honest, it wasn't that big
of a deal for me. That is, I didn't think it made the "experience" that much
better. In fairness, however, that was 15 years ago and Dolby 5.1, I think.
I have a late model receiver and TV which play nice together.
I have been using a 10 or more year old Sony receiver that does not support 4K.
I have had a 4K tv for a while but since receiver did not support that I was
really online seeing 1080. I bought a cheap Onkyo receiver that was about $500
from Amazon and have had it a while but have not hooked it
Looks decent, same spec as my GL450 with tow pkg etc, price is not too
crazy for the miles but maybe a little high
