The only French cars I ever saw in the midwest were the 1980s-era Renault-based Alliance and Encore that were made by AMC but sold as Renaults. While these cars got some good reviews at the time, they were underpowered and didn't sell well. I remember them as market failures. Seeing a Peugeot

Folks, I noticed the discussions on Peugeots. We drive 2 of the 300td and 2 Peugeot 505 sw8 cars (gas ZDJL engines.) I've mostly driven peugeots since 1985 and about 6 years ago i started running some Mercedes diesels mostly on WVO. In my opinion a 505 peugeot is a much lighter feeling
