Hi folks,
it's online just about four months now, but I just didn't manage
to get this e-mail across to you -- our own first Midgard
website :-)
Have a look at http://www.spun.de (sorry, only in German).
Bye,

Hello everyone,
I see people in this newsgroup looking to co-locate servers
inexpensively so I thought I would pass on the incredible place I came
accross.
I too wanted to co-locate a server but couldn't afford the $300 plus a
month and the huge setup fees. I was about to give up when

Hello All,
I know that these are great conversations, heck, I want to toot my own company, and
get people involved with my ISP. Emile's suggestion about putting up a message board

I do think that there should be some basic requirements of co-hosting for Midgard
OK then, how do I define root users, and can I do this before going into 1.2.6beta2,
or is it a new function? Once I upgrade, I immediately loose the ability to login as
admin. So, I need a way to get admin added to this root users I guess from the
command line.
thanks,
sean.

Yes, I have done that. You know, stupid me, I have seen a lot of
traffic about sitegroups, and haven't paid much attention to it. I
guess I should go back and read the messages.

It's new, and requires sitegroups to be active. You create root users much
the way you create admin users for non-sitegrouped installations
If you've installed from rpm, or haven't compiled midgard-lib with the
option --with-sitegroups you don't have it.
OK, so I don't have sitegroups then.
so that could explain that. But, why can't I login as the admin user at
all?
No complaints in the logfile with an appropriate

It allready is in 1.2.6b2. mgd_approve_article takes an optional second

Well here goes my proposal. (I'll shoot myself later, I know)
If I was to be forwarded all the documentation up to this point, including the beta
stuff, I will compile into docs. I would propose a collection of html documents,
README files, INSTALL documents, etc.
Just include: "[Midgard

I have a script I use to install midgard. I can post it if anyone is
interested.
