Hi Josh. I run MRTG on SonicWALLs often, so I will tell you what I do.
This assumes you are running SonicOS Enhanced on your TZ190.
1) Under System Administration, check the box that says Enable SNMP,
then click the Configure button. Enter in a Get Community

Spent considerable time searching, but came up empty. What is the
definition of Peak inbound traffic and Peak outbound traffic on my
weekly, monthly and yearly graphs? (and how does this differ from the
regular Inbound traffic and Outbound traffic graphs?

Can someone clarify... Does MRTG work with DNS names, instead of IP
addresses? Is what he is trying even supported?

Scratching my head on this one. MRTG with logging enabled says:
2006-05-25 13:45:21 -- Started mrtg with config '\configs\mrtg.cfg'
2006-05-25 13:45:21 -- Can't locate Socket6.pm in @INC (@INC contains:

Hi all. I am probably doing something very dumb, but I don't know what
it is... Yet.
MRTG is working OK (including rrdtool and Steve Shipway's routers2 --
awesome!!)
However, I am having trouble pulling Free and Used Memory from a Cisco
4503. I can get SNMP data for these values from the

you should walk the ciscoMemoryPoolName tree and see which
instance you really need to poll. I don't think .0 is ever
the correct one.
Thanks Dan and others that replied... Sure
Hi Patrick.
The instructions do not tell you to type in c:\mrtg-2.13.2\bin as you
have done. It says to go to that directory, then type in perl mrtg.
What you need to do, step by step, is:
Click START RUN and type cmd and press ENTER (this will get you
to a dos prompt)
cd
Hi all. OK, now my turn to ask a question. :-)
When I start MRTG without the --logging attribute, it works fine (except
for SNMP error):
C:\mrtg\binC:\Perl\bin\perl.exe mrtg \configs\mrtg.cfg
Name SNMP_util::Debug used only once: possible typo at mrtg line 166.

Hi all. I am new to MRTG, and attempting to get MRTG with RRDTool and 14all
working on a Windows 2000 Server.
I had MRTG working fine stand-alone, but seemed to have broke something when
changing to RRDTool and 14all.
You can see the files here: http://207.230.221.6/MRTG/
