I've been thinking of doing exactly that, with an INS-1, since I bought a
hundred of them, except I want the lamp on when the power is on so I'll
hook it up to that side.

All good. I’ve not been immune to that myself. (More than once.) Uhhhg.

Yeah
Yeah sorry Michael,
The reason I deleted my post on the group immediately after I discovered that.
But unfortunately everyone’s already received my reply so the damage was
already done

Hello Yohan,
You’re welcome; however, I let everyone know long BEFORE the price over doubled.
In fact, you even included my original email from a month ago where I first
brought it up on December 16th after I had already purchased over 40 units, and
it didn’t double until January 14th.
So,
Thanks for letting us know AFTER the price has doubled... ;)

@Pramanicin: I tried Firefox (my first choice), Chrome and lastly Edge as a
last resort - the only thing I got to see was the name of the phot included
in all three browsers, I closed the browsers and restarted them but nothing
showed.
Nice that some of you saw the photos, I'll add some more
I usually start with lukewarm water and dish wash.
I don't see the need for distilled water here. Why? Regular water won't
harm any plastics, bakelite or circuits...
If soapy, lukewarm water still leaves unwanted coloring (tar from
cigarettes is very common) I use IPA.
If that fails too I, very
You can still get INS-1 for that price.
Never had problems with IN-3 though. May I ask how you drive them?

I connect NE-2 lamps with a 20 K-ohm resistor at both ends of about 8 inches wire, drill a small hole in the switch face plate and push the end of the lamp thru just a little and hot melt glue it in place. If the face plate is white, you can just glue the

@Dekatron42 Which browser are you using? Alas
(in my recent experience) a lot of Google's services aren't playing well
with Safari or Firefox but appear to work (obviously) well with Chrome.
Your photo issue may be browser specific? I can't see any other settings in
the group that would change

unfortunately I can't include any just yet (time to move from Google Groups as
it is working so poorly since their new design?).

Photos arrived fine here, I really like
I just acquired a Xerox 3600 Photocopier counter, the semiconductor version
of the older Trochotron based 2400 unit - it has similiar/identical
function when counting copies made.
Now, this unit looks like it has been sitting in a car shop or an old
attic/barn for many years. I did clean out a
Sweet! I've been thinking of looking for a lighted switch in the 'on'
position for the attic lights we installed to maybe remind us to turn them
off. Been up there a bit lately, running cable. More cameras, power,
commo. New NVR has 10 cameras, I think have added about a dozen new duplex
Michael, thanks for that. I will try that in the future as a pre-selection.

And these were also non-illuminated as well. In the early 1960's, my father
swapped-out a few non-illuminated switches with the neon bulb version.
Several years later, when was about 11 years old, I found that stash of
retired switches, took one apart, and was intrigued by the 'pellet' that
Greetings all,
These are no longer available in the US as of 40+ years ago. I found one in
a box and had to put it back in to service!
They were sold as "silent switches". Small tube of mercury to make the
contact and the toggle switch has a large NE-2 for a nice looking night
light.

I was able to buy a box of 100 for $15.99 back in 2019. I noticed that the
glass color tended to vary from almost clear to dark. in the lot I tested a
few for a period of time and found, oddly enough, the dark colored glass
ones seemed to fare better. I only tested about 10 bulbs in total but
