The first thing I can suggest is set it to LBA and leave it there, Linux doesn't like Normal or large. Leave UDMA active, although if it is UDMA 66 (I have no idea what UDMA 2 is, I've only seen UDMA 33 and UDMA 66), you may have to go back through the mailing list archives to get some more info,
