In mandrake 7.1 I am learning to use kmail. I do miss however the ability to
enter part of a word in the adress to: box then Ctrl-K to find the possible
addresses that contain that word. Is there a way to do this
You can do a 'kill -9 pid' and that will kill the pid.
To view pid's you can use 'ps -eaf | more.

may be a problem with certain BIOSes not reporting memory correctly to the
OS, but that's just a guess.

Indeed xfs is not running.
But after several reboots the result is the same.
So I would reinstall XFree86-xfs but rpm says
'package already installed' and stops.
When I do an rpm -e XFree86-xfs... then rpm says
'package NOT installed' !
By an rpm -q XFree86-xfs... rpm
