basta digitare il comando, se la macchina e' in rete appare dove c'e'
scritto inet address. altrimenti usa il comando nslookup (nome macchina)
per sapere il suo indirizzo ip.

Ever since I have had Mandrake 8.0 on my machine my clock has been
wrong. I have changed its settings many a times, but it is still
losing/gaining (don't know!) time...

I stand to be corrected for this, but as long as your BIOS can handle
the 80gig it should work.
I have 2 Redhat servers with 80gig drives, so I don't see why Mandrake
would have a problem. HTH

Be sure you have your lilo boot floppy before you do anything. Then
install Win2k. You can then use your lilo boot floppy to boot to linux
and then run lilo again which will install the loader.

Hiya, NTFS is currently only supported fully in Read mode, Write mode is
in an experimental strage, they do not recommend it for daily usage.

Just a shot in the dark, and not very specific to your problem, but do
you have enough free disk space? I have a Satellite Pro 465CDX with 2GB
hard drive and I solved a lot of problems by trimming down all the
unneccesary stuff during installation. I got a lot of weird conflicts

Because of the resolver problem and other problems, I have decided to
try version 7.2 instead of 8.0.
I have D*S and W*ndo*s NT4.0 installed on the machine. I need to keep
those UNFORTUNATELY :( I am going to take the following two steps to
uninstall
mdk 8.0 and install mdk 7.2 instead:
Konqueror works for me. You can view directories, click on a file and
view it, with the option to edit it with either K Word, Text Editor, or
Advanced Editor. You can also right click and use open with if those
