Martin Theres a program called MSwordview its been installed into my utilities/text group. Version 0.5.14bw6-1 mdk and it understands office 97 word files fine. It came with my Mandrake 7.0 disk but should be available over the web it works a treat. Hope this helps Duncan Bayne
