simple search.
TIA

i changed the ro to rw and i can now write to these disks but I am nervous of

You need to add some RW parameter to the lines in

In ALL other linuxes as far as I know, FAT32 partitions (if mounted) are
seen automatically from that point forward.
SO WTH IS GOING ON!?

unless you want to access your file from winows and from your post, you
don't, there is really no point in storing your files on fat32. As far
as the disk usage goes, on a 8 GB partition, the smallest block on a fat
32 partition was 8 kb i think. so a 10 kb file would use up 16 kb on you
Sorry if this question was already answered, I couldn't find it.
I have two partitions on the same disk, one fat32, one reiserFS, oth

Fat32 is not good. It wastes a lot of space. ReiserFS is a lot more efficient
than that. And since that is native Linux, faster in access also.

To mount a FAT32 drive, enter the following at a command prompt (usually
need to be root):
mount /dev/hda1 -t vfat /mnt/WinC
In this statement, the hda1 may be replaced by whichever partition you wish
to mount, and you have to have a directory created in the /mnt subdirectory
called (in this
