[newbie] mplayer not starting

Hi folks, I tried to run file rmvb, so I installed mplayer. But after it finished the installation, there's no icon in the Multimedia Video menu. I tried running mplayer from cli, but got this: mplayer MPlayer 1.0pre5try2-3.4.1 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team CPU: Intel Pentium M Banias 1499 MHz
