this issue is closest to the one I'm experiencing. There is a pink line at the
left of the screen. But it appears as soon as X starts and additionally the

Using cpu-z on windows the graphics tab shows the Intel device as having 4GB
and the Nvidia devices is reported as 1GB.

On the question of 3D Accelerator or VGA compatible controller lspci reports it
