Now, to answer Could someone explain why it won't be fixed? there are several valid answers: * When i feel like implementing it * When you send us a patch to implement it * When somebody else than you sends us a patch to implement it Then for the first and third options there is always ways to increase the possibility of it happening like you paying for it or giving else something that people might like.
