the older trucks have angled bed sides, not sure than anyone makes a bed

gm use the same bed and tailgate from 54 thru the mid 80s
it generally cost more to fix up a truck than to buy a truck already
that would be your bendix going bad. the bendix has a sprag type one way

the speedo on my 59 reads fast under 30, hangs at 30 from 30 to 45 and then
reads slow over 45.

lmc has a new speedo for the 55-59 trucks for $150.
has anyone bought a lmc speedo?

i did get the truk together. painted on sat, assembled on mon tues and got
the lights wired on wed. it was ready for my daughters wedding on sat, where
they wanted to use it as a photo back drop. i was more than happy to do it.
got the bed/fenders/parts painted on sat, only a few bugs in it, damn gnats.
spent 2 days getting the sheetmetal together and on the truck
need lights and a trunk latch to get it on the road
should be done by lunch tommorrow
ya right done; might be done done this time next yr but now i can
straight axle trucks aren't too much to align. the camber is set with the king
pins. the only thing to adjust is toe-in with the tie rod ends. we used a tape
measure to align school buses after rebuilding the front end. i've also used
this proceedure to align old trucks. put a piece of plywood
my 58 cab has had major reconstuctive surgery; new cab corners front rear,
rockers, steps, lower hinge pockets and floors. i'm looking at my inner fender
mounts (skirt to cab in the assembly manual, sect 11 sheet 5.01). i mounted the
left and right brackets mirrored, _l l_ as i remember them
i'm adding quite a few relays and connector plugs to my truck, wiring in an
electric fan, ac, door solenoids, electric windows and an remote entry/alarm
sytem. all the relays i find at the vendors have pigtails already on them. so
if your connecting a relay to a door switch or a relay to a
superman speedo? lol

the fact that this bus is inside makes it a rare find. i had a 56 chevy 48 pass
school bus from 79-85. i converted it to a camper; full kitchen, with propane
fridge, stove/oven and heater from a wrecked winnebago, fold down dinette and 2
couches in back that converted to a king size bed. it's

a 55 chevy would have a mechanical temp gauge, not a gmc?
now, tell me about this oil gauge, does the gmc gauge go higher than 30 psi?
