Casey, I can't answer your wiring question as I usually need to seek help
in that field myself. I do however have an interesting link for you to check
out. This guy restores antique sirens and emergency lights. Really nice
stuff and spendy too. Fun to look at though.

You have the right idea. The question is how big do the wire and relay need
to be. Does the siren have a plate on it that gives any electrical specs?
The siren is probably just a big motor spinning a noise maker. That motor
will pull a lot of current starting up, and then spin using much

Debra, ordered my new wiring harness from Chevy Duty. Most of the venders
carry them. Been running mine for about 6 months with no problems. Product
and instructions seemed good quality. Had a friend help me out with install
only because I really have a block when it comes to wiring.
Sorry, I don't know the part number...

I just placed an order for Zero Rust paint, no problems. I like the aerosol
spray. I used the posted link, and the company that sold it to me turned
out be MFG sealants, (1-800-297-7325). I've had pretty good luck with this
product. Works and holds up as advertised, except in sun-exposed areas
check again, it let me all the way thru to where you enter your credit card

FYI. I just picked up a 12V universal blower motor today at NAPA and
the NAPA part number is 455-1020 and cost was $24. The motor
itself was made by Siemens part number PM351X 12V made in Mexico.
It's appearance is close to the original. It is reversible so no
problems with rotation.
Good info on the heater motor, I think that's the same motor CD sells for
39$. For $24 you can't beat it. It cost me that much to convert my '54 to 12
volt, reducer, switch and shipping and I still have the 50 year old motor.
