How to start slapd without slapd.conf?

Hello all, this is probably a really stupid question... But I cannot figure out how to start a freshly built slapd using only slapd-config configuration. I built and installed slapd 2.4.35: ./configure --prefix=$HOME/server/openldap --enable-modules --enable-overlays=mod --with-tls=openssl
