The ringer switch is a hard switch and can't be overridden in software.
However you can change the volume of the alarm (I think) and that
would give you the effect you want.

The tax on words in forum postings has been rescinded, so it is OK to
use real words when you post to the forum!
This also helps non-fluent English speakers understand your postings.

Incoming calls pop-up a window over your application and then force a
program switch if you answer the call. Neither of these should cause
a reset unless your program doesn't handle those situations elegantly.

Classic 'C' issue:
UInt32 baseOffset = 400;
UInt32 testOffset = baseOffset + (3 * 4);
should be
UInt32 baseOffset = 400L; // the 'L' isn't necessary
here, but good to use
UInt32 testOffset = baseOffset + (3L * 4L);// need the 'L'
