The only reason why the two systems should give different results is if they are loading different data or the settings do not match up, which you claim is not the case. If you want to ensure that the settings are the same, you can launch ParaView with the -dr flag, which will ignore your

In recent versions, paraview uses the xml label attribute as the property name in python. It converts the label string to a valid python identifier by calling paraview.make_new_valid(str). The problem is that make_name_valid returns None for names with parentheses. When None is detected the
