Hi,
Just a quick one. Is there any filter in vtk/paraview to obtain the median
dual of a mesh? I'm happy to assume the cells are know cell types, but
would want it for any input type of mesh.
Anybody had success with something like this in vtk?

In my vis class, I have always had the students use the Mask Points
filter separately from the Glyph filter because it had the extra
controls that let you select random sampling. With On Ratio, I get
a regular grid of samples that aliases with the underlying grid

default? I would like it if there was a persistent setting Show Advanced
Options that I could toggle on so I don't have to click the gear so much...

In case you don't know about the feature, you can enable trace and
paraview will record your actions in the GUI and generate python code for
you. It can be a nice way to learn. You can find lots of information
about python scripting and the trace feature on the wiki page, or just go
to the Tools
