Checking to see if there was a focus problem, I did a LR search for photos
taken with my 40/2.8. It searched for maybe 20 seconds and
It occurs to me that I haven't seen anything from our friend Jack in a
while. Anyone heard from him?

My K3 served me well for several years and a grand shitload of shoots,
Peter. It has been replaced in the work force by a K1, but will ride in
my bag as a backup for the foreseeable future.
I bought it to replace my K7, and the UI was different enough to cause a
few perplexities. Once I got
Not heresy at all, Bill, because it depends on what you're looking for
in a lens. I find that good lenses designed for film, including of
course the 77, have qualities that modulate the ever sharper, ever more
detailed efforts of digital sensors available today.
If I were more heavily
Nope. Too close to the 77 in length, when the 77 is already
comprehensively magical.

It works, for small values of works.
I’d be happy to just be able to send the preview images to a tablet for
reviewing during a shoot, but when I asked a couple of weeks ago about it, it
was just crickets.
Hi, troops.
So I ordered a K-1 to allow my rapidly aging and shamefully abused K-3 a
peaceful transition to back-up status. This, I believe, will bring me to
a place on the almost current list, or as close as I've been since the
K-7 came out. Huzzah and all that.

Not really a rant, Dave. Cancer is a bitch and I'm sorry to read this

I sync with mobile LR, then copy whatever I'm going to put on IG to my
phone photos. When I'm preparing a post I can just scroll through
available stuff. It seems clunky but I've done it so much that I don't
have to think about it.
