In todays paper (LA Times) there is an article about the surfphotographer Leroy
Grannis and in one of the picturse you can see him with his FA* 600/4.0 with a
MZ-5n? on the end. And I thought all professional photographers used C***n or
N***n! :)
My suggestion is to look for a Tamron 300/2.8 or 400/4.0 (adaptall) since you don't
need AF. I have a 300/2.8 AF version (same glass as the MF version) that I was
extremely lucky to find at a local dealer. Generally they show up on ebay at decent
prices. This is a link to a current auction:
Last night my ist D would not work, it gave me the above error message. I
tried a different memory card, formating the card, but nothing helped.

Unfortunately the camera body is to deep, that means the distance btween the
screw and the lip on the plate is to short. This is also the problem that I
have with my current plate that I've been using with my ZX-L. But if I
can't find a plate with a lip that fits wimberly have a new generic
Photo plate for the ZX-5n for it. you can
scan the bottom of the camera and emailing it to them to ask if it will
fit.
