This well preserved 1963 Chev Impala was snapped in Phalaborwa yesterday (on my old Nokia 2760). Of course the classic Impala is the 1959 convertible but this one looks pretty good. It has a Gauteng (Jo'burg) registration so had to do about 500km to get here. Not bad for a 50 year old!

Nice stuff - toys for boys! But how technology has progressed. Eons ago I had a 6" reflector mounted on a heavy wooden tripod with a manual equatorial mount. One had to slowly rotate a knob on the end of a flex drive to keep the object of interest in view. Crude by comparison but it worked.
