Good news, everyone! I got an answer from the composer of the intro tune:
Gpl is fine, but hardly applies to music... The original tune is licensed with
Creativecommons, i think that would do fine for debian guys...

It should be linked using -pthread in the same way as linux,
see bellow for patch against acx_pthread.m4/configure.
