Er, what is the point of the testing distribution if it is not to try
applications in realistic use?
You might know this bug is fixed, how are other people to know? No other bug
mentions properties.
I know it must be frustrating having people reporting bugs that you have
already
worked hard

The testing distribution is here to prepare the release. Except during
freeze phases, it is not meant to be usable as a desktop.
