Bug#451915: libgnomesu(GNU/k*BSD): FTBFS: out of date libtool scripts

2007-11-19 Thread Petr Salinger
Package: libgnomesu
Severity: important
Version: 1.0.0-1
Tags: patch
User: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Usertags: kfreebsd

Hi,

the current version of libgnomesu fails to build on GNU/kFreeBSD,
because of outdated libtool.

The version of libtool used in libgnomesu is too old to correctly
support Debian GNU/k*BSD, libtool 1.5.2-1 or later is need.

Here is how to update the libtool in your package:

   libtoolize -c -f
   aclocal
   autoconf

Note that you should probably use the same version of aclocal (from
the packages automake*) as the one used in the package. You could
determine it by looking at the first line of Makefile.in.

It would also be nice if you can ask upstream to update libtool
in their next release.

Thanks in advance

  Petr

  which failed as they both contains some same files. After discussed with

 This is not a problem with ARM, but with the new setup of
 incoming.debian.org since the crash of ries. udeb packages are now
 listed in the Packages.gz file, which causes the build daemon to use them.

 Bug filled as #272 on rt.debian.org. I have also requeued the package as
 this udeb is now gone from incoming.debian.org.

Thanks for the explanation, and it's good to know that the problem has
already been handled :-)

Justification: renders package unusable

I don't get any menu. or anything!
It's only a blank screen, that I can't do anything with.
(Except to terminate with ctrl-alt-drop)

If I start it from wmake and have some apps open, I noticed that the
layout of the apps was changed. So something happened.

I have spent the christmas, doing some christmas cleaning erasing
all unused debs. I only have wmaker and openbox, as window manager
installed now.

I figure that it must be some missing dependency?

yelp ghelp:gnumeric works as expected. The order of attributes to an xml
tag should not be relevant though, and both versions of the OMF file are
shown to be valid through xmllint --noout --valid.

The problem appears to be in src/yelp-utils.c's resolve_process_ghelp. When
the dtd attribute is put in first, its value gets dupped (but is not
understood by the remainder of the code, resulting in a YELP_RRN_TYPE_ERROR
being returned), whereas when the mime attribute comes first, its value
goes through gnome_vfs_get_mime_type and is recognised.

As a workaround, the next upstream gnumeric release will have the order
changed. Still, the underlying issue is a real one that should be addressed.

Hi,

exempi-1.99.5 has been released and I plan to upload an updated version
as soon as ries is back.
There are some ABI changes, which required a SONAME bump. Quoting
upstream:

* Change: API xmp_files_close(), xmp_files_put_xmp(), xmp_files_free(),
xmp_free(), xmp_iterator_free(), xmp_iterator_skip() now return bool.
* Change: API xmp_get_property_and_bits() renamed xmp_get_property().
* Change: API xmp_set_property2() renamed xmp_set_property().

Attached is a patch which updates the eog sources accordingly.
As this is not backwards compatible, you have to bump the build
dependencies in debian/control. This also means, that you musn't apply
the patch until 1.99.5 is uploaded.

Please consider to push this patch upstream. configure.ac has to be
updated for this, too: EXEMPI_REQUIRED=1.99.5 line 78.

Cheers
Michael
