I'm not aware of any kind of port forwarding on this box.
I assume iptables is not used at all, but I'm no expert so I don't know how to
check for any rule anywhere.

What kind of port forwarding you're performing? iptables?
Could you please provide more information.
Binding to :: will comprise ipv4 too, AFAIK.
