Package: liblucene2-java
Version: 2.9.1+ds1-2
Severity: normal

Usertags: missing-osgi-metadata

Hi,

We are trying to make eclipse build from source using the jars from
Debian packages instead of the ones shipped together with eclipse;
however eclipse needs some OSGi metadata in the manifest file of the
jar files.

We believe that this package ships following jar files without this
OSGi-metadata (See [1] for more info):

lucene-analyzers.jar
lucene-core.jar

It may be helpful to see how Fedora has done this; since they are
further than us in this aspect. We have provided the link to the
Fedora VCS repository [2]. Please be aware that the naming convention
differ on Fedora. (e.g. libcommons-el-java is called jakarta-commons-el
in Fedora).

Hi

Both Benjamin and I have successfully built eclipse against the lucene2
in experimental - all we had to do was to bump the expected version of
lucene2.

Thank you for your work,
~Niels
