On my machine all jars under /usr/share/maven-repo/javax are real
files and not symlinks. That includes Servlet, JSP and Expression

Ok, I have checked the packages from unstable and they work fine -
that was expected, as the 02debian.policy is updated with a maven
entry. When I take the entry out, webapps break in the same way. I'm
not sure if you want to pursue that anymore (they DO work now) but I
still find it weird that this entry has to be there. Ludovic, didn't
you mention rebuilding the packages so jars from maven-repo are no
 longer referenced?

I don't see the new packages being available in testing yet, at least

It will not be in testing for at least the next 10 days as we just uploaded
 the package to unstable.

jmdns -- java implementation of multi-cast DNS (Apple Rendezvous)

2009-09-28 Thread Mathieu Malaterre
Hi there,

Since this will be my first checkin to pkg-java SVN, I'd like to
make sure I am not doing anything wrong. I intend to svn commit the
following files:

https://gdcm.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/gdcm/Sandbox/debian-med/jmdns

The layout seems to be slightly different from debian-med, so I'd
like to know what are the tool you use to inject debian/* file in
trunk and manage the branches tags ? I could not find any detailed
information on:

http://java.debian.net/developers.html#rules

Thank you

I believe svn-inject will work for this, if you use the options

Also, you may want to send emails to debian-j...@lists.debian.org

vecmath1.2: should this package be removed?

Package: vecmath1.2
Severity: normal
User: debian...@lists.debian.org

Dear Maintainer,

While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a possible
candidate for removal from Debian, because:

* Outdated (last upload 2006).
* Very low popcon scores.
* Inactive upstream.

If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please
just close this bug and do an upload also fixing the other issues.

If you agree that it should be removed, send the following commands to

Bug#548753: fixed

2009-09-28 Thread Debian Archive Maintenance
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

libvecmath1.2-java | 1.14-3 | all
vecmath1.2 | 1.14-3 | source

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 548...@bugs.debian.org.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at http://bugs.debian.org/548753

This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is
a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing
ftpmas...@debian.org.
