It's not that important to me if it's not in the Debian package. I can
 just download that dll separately.

I think it'll be hard to build the dll from Debian, won't it?

Bug#341749: firefox 1.5 not yet packaged in debian; downgrading severity

The whole package has been rebranded as just firefox, so no-one with
mozilla-firefox will have noticed unless they have gone looking for it.
The change log for this release talks about a transition
 package coming in the next.

The directory change does seem a little silly to me, but it is inline with
the rename (also seems sily). The firefox package has a bug open against
it about migrating plugins on upgrade 341682.

This in mind, maybe the severity should go back up?
[...]
Richard,
Thanks for the update; I was not aware of the transition. I have
placed the severity back to important.

When trying to use make-jpkg to create a package from Sun's
jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586.bin, on this system, it fails to unpack, giving
this message:

/home/phil/jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586.bin: line 262: ./install.sfx.24499: Permissio

/home/phil/jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586.bin: line 1: cd: jre1.5.0_06: No such file or

(more non-relevant output, then...)

Testing extracted archive...
Invalid size (1 MB) of extracted archive. Probably you have not
enough free disc space in the temporary directory. Note: You can
specify an alternate directory by setting the environment variable
TMPDIR.

Aborted.

strace output, until this is resolved, will be available at:

I can make the package on another system, it just fails on this one for
what seem to be permissions reasons, but I cannot work out why.

Well, it does so already :) It has to register itself as a webapp and

Sorry, this is completely not reproducible here. The eclipse-rcp package
*creates* directories under /usr/local/ib; there is no code in the package
postinst that would remove anything.

Have you upgraded other packages recently that could have been to blame for
removing /usr/local/lib?
