My initial fix was to downgrade to last usable version from squeeze-backports: http://packages.debian.org/squeeze-backports/audacious-plugins
As one can read from http://www.audacious-media-player.org/download these packages are a little out of date. I tried the recommended packages from http://launchpad.net/~nilarimogard/+archive/webupd8/+packages?field.name_filter=audacious and the ffmpeg plugin is again included & working. Help note: One also has to plug https://launchpad.net/~nilarimogard/+archive/webupd8/+packages?field.name_filter=libmowgli to get an upgraded version of that library currently not yet in Debian. Since that audacious-plugins package depends on Ubuntu's libpulse0 version numbering scheme, one has to either dpkg --force-depends which will leave your system with bad dependencies, or modify the control file of the deb archive (e.g. via http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=636724) by removing the leading "1:" from libpulse0 version string. cheerio, T. _______________________________________________ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
