I just asked this on IRC, and Paul suggested me to better send this to the list:
I'm about to tackle libprawn-ruby, even if in a dirtyish way ,but would like to hear your opinion... This package is built from three tarballs (fetched from their respective tags in three Github repositories of the same author) Now, the author _does_ tag the main project (prawn)... But he does _not_ tag the two sub-projects (pdf-inspect and ttfunk) :-/ ...He had previously told me (in the 0.8.x cycle) he would tag as soon as he fixed a bug... but it never came to happen. Asked him twice. And now we are in 0.9, and the same story... So, I think I will do something I don't like: Grab the commits nearest in time to the 0.9.1 tag date, and ship them... Any strong objections? I noted this situation in debian/README.source, FWIW. -- Gunnar Wolf • gw...@gwolf.org • (+52-55)5623-0154 / 1451-2244 _______________________________________________ Pkg-ruby-extras-maintainers mailing list Pkg-ruby-extras-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-ruby-extras-maintainers
