Hi Yannick, I'm pretty sure, what happens is, that you have changed /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf and removed the ifupdown plugin. In this case, no system settings plugin provides the hostname and whenever NM establishes a connection, it will fallback to localhost.localdomain.
