[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#504443: network-manager: Version incompatibility; need conflict
Package: network-manager Followup-For: Bug #504443 As it turns out, I had network-manager-gnome 0.7.0~svn953-1 installed, rather than 0.7.0-1. After upgrading it, the Available to all users (formerly System setting) checkbox seems to work fine. Given this incompatibility, could you please increase the version in network-manager's conflict on network-manager-gnome to ( 0.7.0-1)? It was simply a bug in network-manager-gnome not correctly using policykit. [Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#509346: Bug#509346: network-manager-gnome: 'Now connected' message truncated
reassign 509346 libnotify1 thanks Sam Morris wrote: Package: network-manager-gnome Version: 0.7.0-1 Severity: minor The 'you are now connected to the wireless network xyz' message is truncated by the 'don't show me this again' button. The useful part of the message (the network name) is overwritten by the button. :) That is a bug in libnotify (or notification-daemon, I'm not 100% sure). I've attached a simple test case (taken from the libnotify sources), where you can see, that the network name foobar is not displayed (see attached screenshot). This seems to be a layout issue in libnotify/notification-daemon. If I further increase the length of the message string, there is a proper line break and the notification is rendered correctly. I'm reassigning to libnotify to let its maintainer handle that.
