So how do we proceed? Do you want to take my 1.51 patch and
use it to split the port into 1.48 and 1.51 subdirs?
IMHO splitting the port is the best choice.

Hello,
[first of all, I am new to this list and this is my first posting]
I am currently trying to get Avahi (an mDNS responder, www.avahi.org)
working on OpenBSD. It is not yet fully supported, but I have it
compiling and the avahi-daemon running.
May I draw your attention to a one-line bugfix

fixed one obvious bug in daemon_close_all.
I hope it can be applied - unfortunately my OpenBSD Laptop is currently
offline and I can send this only through webmail. Sorry for any
inconvenience.

Works for me on i386. Built audio/scmpc (which depends on libdaemon)
without any problems. ok to commit?

Oh dear,
my first patch - and I messed it up. Sorry.
Let me try again, this time without linebreaks in between.

In the course of testing devel/libdaemon, I noticed that audio/scmpc
complained about extra libs with make lib-depends-check.
The following diff fixes that. ok?
