Thanks for your response. In a way this is more or less what I knew we would
have to end up doing (i.e., explicit limit ourselves to 2 CPUs maximum for
anything running on CRAN), but it still confuses me why this didn't just
happen, given how CRAN sets OMP_THREAD_LIMIT=2 already,
