Forgot to mention that I think the biggest adavantage of Berthoud is
it’sset serviceable . It is very easy to replace the top. I initially had a
top with cut out that I replaced with solid .

Thanks everyone!
The color in person is truly amazing . I think it’s much deeper and richer blue
than the previous one . My jpeg shot from the camera is highly stylized and
does not represent the color accurately . I will post additional pictures later
this week .
Calvin,
Yes they are
Thanks !
Yes it is berthoud saddle . I thinks it great if you have drop bars ( at
least the one that I have - aspin) . Brooks and Berthouds bigger model
might be between for upright bars . I like the fact that top is user
replaceable .

Amazing looking ride! Is that a Berthoud saddle? I am debating if I want to
give up my Brooks for a natural Berthoud, but don't know many people who
ride it.

The plug I used was too big to fit in the leg unfortunately. I'd have to
swap to the spade connector to get it to fit, and granted I am too lazy to
deal with all that

Wow that is a gorgeous bike, I can't take my eyes off it! One thing
though; that rack has internal wire routing in the forward leg, worth
changing it up if you want to run lowrider panniers on it at some point :)

I am using Tektro R559's and using the 42mm Baby Shoe Pass by Rene Herse.
They measure 40mm on these Velocity Quills.

I used to have Campy Super Record (80's or so?) brakes and levers on my Riv
Road. Yes, aesthetically , classic Campy is hard to beat. Yes, I first
thought the TRP RRL's were a bit over the top. But when I paired them with
the Grand Cru brakes sold by VO, functionally, they were far better than
Silver 1 downtube shifters on downtube mounts. Nobilette made the
adjustable cable/shifter stops.

Wow! I could just keep staring at those bikes forever. Very interesting
placement of shifters. Looks like a good compromise between aesthetics and
comfort . Are those stem mounts?

Wow Liang! That's a very pretty bike. Those levers do look damn good! Now I
have to decide between ergo and looks. I keep hearing great thing about
TRP RRLs but definitely prefer the looks of non aero levers...

I had a pair of Oracle Ridges on my side pull Sam for a short time. Had to
deflate the tires to get them past the brake pads on the Tektro 559s. Off
pavement they threw up a lot of small stones compared to The smooth treaded
Snoqualmie Pass. The paint on the underside of the down tube took a
Sounds like a dreamy build overall, and congrats on the frame purchase!
My thoughts:
- I think the Oracle might be ambitious, clearance-wise. Herse tires run
bigger than most for their printed size, and add the knobs, and I'd be
surprised if those fit. I'd suggest their 42mm counterpart,
