Hi,

in this new version some feedback by Andy has been addressed, some sections have been slightly revised and I-Ds have been replaced with RFCs in references.

Have also added to the jscontact-tools library a wrapper to demonstrate how easy is to handle the JSContact format in an EPP-like manner (see see at https://github.com/consiglionazionaledellericerche/jscontact-tools?tab=readme-ov-file#using-jscontact-in-rdap).

Keeping aside for the moment the method used by clients to request for JSContact in RDAP responses, which depends on the outcomes of the discussion about how to handle RDAP extensions, think that next thing to address is how the tansition process should take place.

The draft presents a solution that aims to minimize the response payload during the transition and enable servers to realize when their clients have deprecated the jCard format.

In addition, the proposed solution is not finalized to forcefully deprecate the jCard format (obviously, that would be hopeful)  as the JSContact format would be handled as any other optional extension.

Of course, the authors would welcome any alternative leading to consensus.

Any feedback is very appreciated.

Best,

Mario
