source releases before 1.0.31. I think it was something 1.0.26 - 1.0.30.

with the .tar.gz source releases before 1.0.31 and is in the bug
tracking system at
https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/-/issues/248 . 1.0.31 should
build for you.
The issue is that the releases in a

re: apt-get build-dep libsane
Ralph, I must be doing something wrong:
$ sudo apt-get build-dep libsane
Reading package lists... Done
E: You must put some 'source' URIs in your sources.list
$
I have also tried libsane1. Reading various pages on the error message it

Awesome. I got a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB set up with Ubuntu Arm64. Going
to attach my Cintiq and LiDE 200 to it and test it out as soon as I
can.

Hello,
I'm trying to install a version of sane-backends that supports my scanner,
which would be 1.0.28 or newer. I'm getting an error when trying to
run autogen.sh on any version of sane-backends (which is the first step
in the INSTALL doc).
# ./autogen.sh
autoreconf: Entering directory `.'
Scanner is an Epson Perfection V370. I have IScan installed on server
and client.
Have saned running on the server, listening on ipv4 *:6566. scanimage
-L does see the scanner.
On the client in dll.conf I have all commented out except net. In
net.conf I have:
scan-server
10.1.1.4
In dll.d
