I try to connect a HP 4200C to my PC running SuSe 8.2 with Kernel 2.4.20
and sane 1.0.11 (also tried 1.0.12). The Problem is that the scanner
only works for one scan after that sane doesn't find any devices. The
only solution is to reload the usb-uhci modul (rmmod/insmod usb-uhci)

6200c. But that doesn't matter.
After the first (and only) scan has completed, do the following:
export SANE_DEBUG_HP=255
scanimage hp.ppm 2hp.lis
and send hp.lis back to me.

Does anybody knows if ADF option works on OS2/Warp4 system with sane
backend version 1.0.11 or 1.0.12 for HP7450c ?

i compiled sane 1.0.12 and use a epson perfection 1260 scanner with the
plustek backend. works well with scanimage and xsane, however when i try
kooka or openoffice, no device is found and the (kooka) error message is
that the sane installation was missing. any hint for me?

Hi Jan,
you should not need any additional configuration. I just tried my HP
ScanJet 6350c with libusb without problems (up to now I used scanner.o).
You can try to reduce your hp.conf to the minimum entries that you need:
usb 0x03f0 0x0201
Just this line.
