something missing, please tell us.
However, the mailing lists still have problems. So this is also a test

when trying a cvs update, I get the message can't create temporary
directory /tmp/cvs-serv20910. Can someone please look what is happening
on the CVS-server ?

Actually, the vertical lines were not as bad as I originally thought. I was
scanning a full page of text as either a color or grey scale and the vertical
lines were quite noticable. Scanning as line art no vertical lines appear.
