I have seen on the development page of rock-linux that there has been a lot of
development in the avision driver. Has there been any news about the 45
degree angle problem of some HP 5370C scanners?

has anybody tried to do a duplex scan with a fujitsu fi-4x20
and USB interface?
I've tried
scanimage --duplex both /tmp/out
and the scanner returns and error in the start_scan command
block. I can't see what's wrong. The same block with SCSI
works fine. Siplex scanning with USB works as
SANE-Backends-1.0.13

(Works well with SANE-Backends-1.0.12, cdrecord, DAT-Tape, disks)
The scanner has two interfaces SCSI(attached) and USB(unplugged).

when generating scanimage from source, you usually do a ./configure
without a --prefix. Then the executables are stored in /usr/local and
also the configuration directory is at /usr/local/etc/sane.d. So maybe
you have two version of SANE on your machine. The SANE-libraries from
your
