Have you looked in the sane-project.org scanner search engine? (site seems do be down now) The model number suggests that it is similar to the ScanJet 4300, which is supported by the niash backend. It could be that your scanner is not recognised simply because its USB vendor/product ID

Hi, When I try to scan in lineart mode, it makes garbage on output. The scan seems misaligned. But if I first make a scan in gray or color mode, and then switch to lineart, it works ! It works ... sometimes :( I acquire a scan in Lineart mode and make a log :
